The week has flown by since my last blog update. We have been staying really busy. Helping and spending time with the single mother and her children has been absolutely amazing. Her children are beautiful and so great, and the mother continues to bless us over and over again. I feel like I am getting served much more than I am serving. I have fallen in love with the family, and I can tell it is going to be a hard goodbye at the end of the month. Plans changed a bit, once again, and I will be working with the family the whole time this month.
God has shown me, through this mother, what dependency on God really looks like. Her story is incredible on how much God always provides for her just what she needs when she needs it. She is truly inspiring and has already taught me so much about faith, waiting on the Lord to provide, generosity, obedience to God’s voice, and sacrifice.
Yesterday I hiked 18 miles through the Negev Desert to the Dead Sea with 9 other world racers. We left at 5:30 in the morning while it was still dark and trekked for 6 hours. The views were absolutely breath taking. The Dead Sea was amazing, and it felt great getting in after the long hike through the desert.
God has blessed us with the ability to decorate for Christmas a little bit! A Jew who doesn’t celebrate Christmas gave us some money specifically to buy Christmas decorations! God told her that He is glorified in our excitement for Christmas and love for this time of the year, so she felt called to bless us with the ability to bring Christmas cheer to our apartment! So we were able to get some supplies that we made a Christmas tree from, a fireplace and even stockings!
Mom and Dad and Family-
