Isaiah 61:1-2 says, “the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.”
This is my prayer for the World Race. That the Spirit of the Lord be upon me, that He anoints me. That His Spirit leads and guides me. That as I go into the nations, it is God’s love that is shown, His words that are spoken, His healing touch that cures, His hands that help and His arms that hug and hold tight. It is not I, but it is God through me. I am just a vessel, just one of His chosen methods to reach the people He loves so dearly.
So please pray for me. Pray that as I go into the nations, it is not me but God. Pray that I rid me of myself so that God can shine through.
Jesus commands His disciples to, “heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received.” Matthew 10:8
This is what the World Race is about. Bringing Kingdom with the power and authority of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is out of love and with respect, not just going to make converts, but to make friends and disciples. This is more than doing good deeds; it is bringing Heaven to Earth.
We are to awaken a generation to the fullness of life that is in Jesus Christ.
