Forgive me for not filling you in earlier…
I am in Turkey! I am so glad to be here. It is beautiful and unlike anywhere I have ever been!
Our squad arrived in Istanbul, Turkey on the 2nd. We had a few days of culture immersion training before we began our ministry for the month.

After a few days in Istanbul and some knowledge on some things we shouldn’t do and things we should watch out for in a whole new culture, our teams got sent throughout the country. My team was sent to Izmir.
We are here as cultural tourists and ethnographers. Our job for this month is to learn from the people and build relationships with them. We are here to learn about the culture, the people, their lifestyles, their religion, etc.
Some of the teams are here to seek out specific unreached people groups and just learn about them. We are here in a specific town just to learn about the people here, without a specific people group and build relationships and friendships. In our short time here we have already been blessed with some amazing friends who have shown us what hospitality really is. The people here have been so kind and welcoming, showering us with warmth, conversation, food, and lots of Turkish tea.
Turkey is the most unreached nation in the world, with a population of about 75 million, 99.8% being muslim.
Please pray for this nation. Pray that God would open people’s hearts and also for Him to place the people in our paths He wants us to build relationships with. God fiercely and passionately loves his sons and daughters here in Turkey…pray that my team and I would see the people here as God sees them, so we may be filled with such passionate love for them that it would be obvious Christ lives inside of us, and through that love, may the people sense something different, sense that Jesus really is alive.
Thank you for all of your continued support, prayer and encouragement. I love you all!
