God is worthy of so much more awe and wonder than we give him. His creation screams out his splendor and beauty, and how often do we miss it? He could have given us a black and white world, without flowers or trees or beautiful sunsets, but instead he gave us a world filled with color and life and beauty! I have been extremely blessed and privileged to have seen fifteen different countries in the past five months, and in each one have witnessed the beauty and God’s glory in each and every place.
Everything is praising God, we just need to alter our perception to notice it. Tall trees standing strong in all their splendor are praising God, as the wind flows through their leaves, God is being praised. Birds singing the song God gave them to sing are giving him glory. The clouds moving through the sky are praising God. The little Kenyan boy without pants or shoes, eating his sugar cane is praising God. The puppies playing together are praising God. The sounds of the children laughing are praising God. Every step we take, praises God, because He gave us that ability and if it weren’t for Him, we would not be walking.
When you start to notice that everything in God’s creation is praising God in its own way, the earth becomes even more beautiful and breathtaking! You can’t help but cry out praises to God when you see his beauty and glory in all he has made.
Let us stop and notice God’s creation and give him the glory and praise he deserves for such a beautiful earth! Actually stop and smell the roses growing on the side of the road that God created and then praise his name for such a beautiful flower! Walk barefoot in the grass. Go out and play in the snow. Go outside and breathe in the fresh air God has given us! Stop and shake a strangers hand and ask how they are. Wake up early enough to sit and watch the sunrise once and a while. Lay outside and watch the stars. Breathe in the smells, listen to the birds, the animals and the insects, watch the kids playing, and recognize God in every moment. Because He is all around us, His love is saturating everything, His glory is everywhere. Just slow down every once and a while so you can see and hear and taste His goodness and beauty. He is all around us.
“Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.” Psalm 8
And that He does, inspire shouts of joy! God is so good! The earth is so beautiful! How can we not be filled with so much joy because of His goodness and beauty! So shout for joy because of all He has done and made!
