Why did God give me the gift of this community I am surrounded by? I didn’t do anything to deserve these wonderful, amazing, loving, encouraging, supportive brothers and sisters in Christ. This community is such a beautiful thing.
Just about every morning the teams gather in the mornings for 8:00 prayer and worship. On Tuesday one of the squad leaders had it on her heart that the group was to pray over me. So there I am standing in the living room, with about 25 other people standing around me praying for me, speaking life into me, encouraging me, and sharing visions from the Lord. Things so beautiful and encouraging I was brought to tears. And I am just so grateful! It was so beautiful, and I know God was smiling down at us at that moment…saying, “they get it“. This is what the body is about. Gathering together, praying and worshiping together, encouraging one another, speaking life and loving each other, building each other up. And it is so true and real and holy in those moments. Jesus’ love is so evident and saturating, and this community shows it.
It is such a blessing to be a member of this community. I’m so grateful God has placed me in the presence of these people. There is so much love, laughter, grace and joy.
I have to give a special shout out to the girls on my team. Lindsay, Jennifer and Ashley blow my mind everyday, and I literally wake up thinking about how much I love them and how grateful and blessed I am to be able to do life with them. They have been such a joy and source of so much laughter and support. In the blogs to come I will let you know more about these amazing women who constantly touch me life…
