God has been doing some crazy stuff in my life, and I am excited to tell you about it. Earlier this year I went to Haiti on a week-long trip with my serving group at church. It was so great, and while I was there, I feel like God started showing me things about myself and my future. I want to tell people my story of how Jesus saved my life. I believe God wants to use me to help change lives! It took a long time for me to believe this, but now that I do, I am ready for the next step God has for me!

While I was in Haiti, I met a group of people who were doing The World Race. After talking to some of them, I knew right away this was something I wanted to explore. I came home, talked to my parents, and prayed about it a lot. I started the application process, and after each step, I felt more and more that God was in this. Well, I got accepted!

So… in October of this year, I will be going on a crazy journey called The World Race through an organization called Adventures in Missions. The World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 different countries, and I have been accepted to a route including (tentatively) India, Nepal, Vietnam, Cambodia, Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru. God will be using my team to do many different things like construction, building relationships with orphans, teaching English, helping plant churches, and meet other needs as God leads us, all while sharing my story of how the Gospel changed my life. I have never done the majority of those things before which is a little scary, but I can honestly say I am excited to see how God will work IN and THROUGH me!

Will you help send me on the World Race? Because I am going to 11 different countries, and will be gone for almost a year, I need to raise almost $20,000 all together. This will cover travel, living expenses, insurance, and gear I need for the trip. I am working two jobs and saving all I possibly can as well as planning some fundraisers, but I would love to have people in my life be part of this journey with me by supporting me! I know this is a LOT of money, but I also believe this is what God has given me as my next step in my life. So I know He is going to help me get the money I need. By praying with me, and/or giving financially, you also become part of this awesome work God is doing.

It seems so unreal that this is actually happening. And if you know me at all, you know that God has really changed my life. Now, I get to tell the WORLD!!! Thank you for standing with me in this! You can follow my journey on my blog page marlinjonesfoster.theworldrace.org and giving options are on the back of this letter.
