The word ‘selah’ is used at the ends of verses in Psalms and Habakkuk. There are some different interpretations; some say it means ‘to pause’, some ‘to lift up’ or ‘give praise’.

I have had so many moments in the last few weeks, where I just have to stop and breathe in God’s goodness. He has been so faithful in providing me more than I even know to ask for. Over and over again I have gotten great news or seen Him orchestrating my days so sweetly, and cried tears of gratitude and disbelief, because even still I am awed at how much He loves me.

…and the list goes on. My prayer is that God will teach me to posture my heart to constantly be aware of the Selah moments; when they are big and obvious and when they are hidden by the distractions of life, I pray that He’ll train my eyes and heart to see them, and rejoice every time.
