The Race Starts Now!

What can I say about training camp? We laughed, we cried, we froze in our tents in 30-degree weather. I got to meet my new family, the 30 something people who are going on this amazing God venture with me. Their heart and willingness to go for whatever God has for them inspires and blows me away.

I would love to wrap this blog up in a nice little package about how I was affected and what impacted me the most but I don’t have a clue how to do that. So, I’ll give you one thing I think I can articulate, maybe. God handpicked me to do this trip. He didn’t ask this of me because I was super spiritual, because I’m not. He didn’t ask me because I have great skills in people management or world evangelism because I don’t have those either. All he asked of me was a willing heart. He put my fears of not being good enough or equipped well enough to rest. He showed me that He is good enough and that’s all I really need.

When I was accepted to the race in January I did everything I knew to get ready for it but it just wasn’t real to me. Sure I told all my friends and family I was going but it wasn’t until training camp that I got the revelation that I am going to be God’s hands and feet to a world that is crying out for him. I don’t think we can even grasp how awesome this fact is. God is asking us to be a part of His huge plan for the world. He didn’t have to include us in his plan He wanted to include us!

Take a moment today and ask God how you can be a part of his plan in your own world race.

Remember the race starts NOW!
