Family, friends and supporters
This weekend has been debrief of the last month or so of ministry. It seems so strange to have all of January and June teams here after having only team Concrete around for the last few weeks. I think there are around 90 something of us with the people from AIM and us. It has been great to reflect on what God has done in the last month.
We have a couple of big announcements for you. The first one is that there have been a few changes in the teams. Half of the teams on June did not have a guy on there team. This has proved to be a challenge for ministry already. So as of today each team has one guy on it. After much prayer and discussion I am staying on team Concrete and Casey is going to Daughters of Zion. And yes they will be changing their name. This has been a challenge but we know it is a God thing.
Our Next announcement is that team Concrete is going to Swaziland for our next country. We will be there for about a month. The rest of the June teams are going to be spread out to Mozambique, and Botswana. We are very excited to be going to a different country and a new ministry. It’s going to be like being in a new country for us. The last time we were Swazi we were in the city. This time we will be out in the bush on a gated farm. We are going to be staying in our tents and cooking over an open fire. This is going to be an awesome experience. Rumor has it there are Zebras outside the fence were we are going to be staying. Internet is going to be sparse so don’t worry if you don’t hear from me for a while.
When I get a few more details about the ministry I’ll pass it along. I have heard we will be doing work with orphans and care points. Care points are the places that they feed the orphans. That’s right I’m going to be working with kids again, imagine that. It’s going to be an awesome month! (Be sure to move that pin on the map. So everyone knows were I am!)
