There have been many people throughout my life who have shaped me into who I am and they are too many to mention here.  I am very thankful for the people God has sent along the way to speak truth into my life and direct me back to His glory.  I grew up in a Christian home with loving parents, an older sister (who continues to look out for me), and a younger brother (who is my fiend, my bud, as well as my partner in crime!) Yes, this makes me the middle child. I always thought it was cool to be the middle child and love the fact that I am close in age to both my brother John and my sister Jennifer. Growing up (making the huge assumption that I now have!) was not always easy and I assure you that numerous times I wanted to give up and sometimes I think I did, but God has never given up on me. I continue to be amazed as He continues to pursue me!

God has instilled within me a passion to serve Him. I don’t always know how this service manifests itself, but I know that God’s will always prevails and I am happy to be a part of His master plan.  For this next year, God has given me the opportunity to lead and empower the next generation of World Racers, the January 2010 “M” Squad.  I am excited to continue living a Holy Spirit led life within the World Race community.

During my year on the World Race I was expecting to change and serve the world, but God rocked mine and showed me more of His character.  My desire for my squad exceeds what I experienced for myself.  I want them to know and understand that God speaks to them and wants to use them in miraculous ways.  I want them to experience the freedom in Christ that is found when we extend grace and shed our judgmental and religious attitudes.  Love wins!

This second time out on the field is once again not about me.  What I said over a year ago still remains true to this day: the only logical thing to do is to trust God.  I embrace the adventure!
