               I checked my support account a couple days ago and the Lord has blessed me with almost $11,000. I really appreciate all of you who have supported me along the way. I thought it would be appropriate to give an update on my support account and show you how God has worked along the way. I decided the best way to do this was to let you peer in on a couple of journal entries and give you a play-by-play over the last several months.

               May 5th, 2008: “Earlier today I got my first support for the World Race of $20 from [one of my friends from the YMCA]. It’s really cool to see how God will use people whom I never thought would support me. I told mom earlier tonight that I only had $13,780 to go! My faith will definitely be stretched because I find myself thinking often that this trip is way too much money.”

               May 13th, 2008: “Lord, thank-you for the blessing of the gifts to my World Race fund. I’m almost at $1,000! Only about 12,900 to go. Money is no object to You Lord. Bring it in as you see fit. I know You will challenge and grow my faith.”

 
               September 22nd, 2008: “I feel very relaxed as I prepare for this trip. I have a great peace about going which at one time I had nothing near peace. This morning Allison called and told me I had until the end of the day to have $5000 in my account. With the $175 from last night and $100 from Charlie and Nancy my account balance went from $4801 to $5076 just enough to make the $5000 amount. I have faith that the remaining money needed will come in.”
               And the Lord has provided. With a little more than $3,000 to go, He is faithful and He will provide. Thanks for jumping on board with my and trusting the Lord alongside me.
