Don’t you wish you could try a biscuit that tasted terrible,
but was disguised as “chocolate coated?”
Don’t you wish you could dance in the van to upbeat Kenyan
worship music while mentally taking note to schedule your next chiropractor
appointment once you return home?
Don’t you wish you could drink large amounts of hot
chai even though it’s 85 degrees outside?
Don’t you wish you could scare young Kenyan babies and then
make them cry just by them seeing your face?
Don’t you wish you could have the double benefit of working
out your quads while being able to relieve yourself (use your imagination!)?
Don’t you wish you could look down in the water after your bucket bath and see that all the dirt on your body has turned the water to mud?
Don’t you wish you could preach in church with 20 minutes
notice?
Don’t you wish you could never know exactly what is going
on, but trust your contacts to make good decisions on your behalf?
Don’t you wish you could run every morning in Africa
and have at least three kids run with you at one point or another?
Don’t you wish you could hold and hug young orphans who
crave the affection and physical touch of an adult?
and have to trust more fully on the Lord’s leading?
Don’t you wish you could work alongside national pastors who
pray bold prayers and truly believe that God will answer them?
Don’t you wish you could be the answer to the prayers that
people have been praying for years?
Don’t you wish you could see a people that truly love the
Lord and are not afraid to live for Him?
