Well, the dam has been…well, not broken, but it’s letting water through. I got my first donation yesterday, a crisp $100 bill, and by the current US/Canadian exchange rate, I just need another 150 of those to reach what I need for this trip. It really was an encouragement from God, because while I’m praying that I can find a way to get people tax receipts up here in Canada, I’m also praying that if that doesn’t happen that people will still be willing to give. And here’s my first donation, just handed to me in cash with a big grin, from a high school youth leader of mine that I’ve only really talked to over the last couple of years when we happen to bump into each other, and with the miracle that is mass emails. I was reminded that God has blessed me with lots of people in my life that have always supported me in any way they can, even those people I don’t get to see as often as I’d like. It made me think about the facct that people I’ve lost regular contact with over the years probably think about me as often as I think about them. And it re-enforced the knowledge that one way or another everything will be looked after.
