So I am sitting in Bulacan, Bulakan, Philippines half way through month 10! The world race has been a whirlwind of change and emotion. I have become a new person, and my understanding of who God is has exploded to new heights! I knew coming on the race would be hard for me, but I never knew I would be this successful!! I have loved living out of a backpack and going country to country. I have loved living with 25 other people and eating foods that sometimes I just don’t ask what is in it. More than anything I love what God has done, and through a lot of prayer I have started my journey into what is next after the race!!
So what is next for me????
In September I am moving to Gainesville, Georgia to start an 8 month discipleship/leadership program called CGA (The Center for Global Action). This program is designed to mobilize a generation to be passionate followers of Jesus who live out their faith whether at home, professionally, or church planting overseas.
What will I be doing????
I will be living in a community house with others who are in the program to continue what I have been learning on the race! What it means to live outside my own needs, and learn to live intentionally with people. CGA is at the base where I went to training camp for the World race! I will be in the Field Leadership track where I will learn various aspects of identity and leadership, with the goal of sending me overseas to lead a trip at the end of my time in CGA. I’ll learn about servant leadership, how to influence groups of people, and how to manage myself and others. Along with this I will have a part-time job, one so I can have a small income while there, but also to invest into the community where I am at. I will also be studying the bible through bible studies, verse memorization, and through some classes as well!! Discipleship is also really big, so that will be happening.
How much will it cost????
The whole program costs $8650
- CGA program costs-$3,950
- Capstone International Trip-$2,700
- Housing-$2,000
I need to raise $3000 by September 16, and then it will be $700 a month until may!
Just like the world race I will be raising the funds to attend this program. God showed up big time, and once again I am asking if you could pray about financially supporting me!! I realize that this process just ended for the world race, and if you don’t feel led to give its ok, I can use as much prayer as I can get!! Once I have an official link for the fundraising I will post that, but until then if you could pray to see if this is something God is leading you towards!!
What does the Future look like????
This is a really good question! I have a heart for people, travel and God! I have some ideas like making relational ministry a full time gig, but at the end of the day I am learning how to be a better leader and to be able to lead teams, so there will be a lot of that in the future!! Weather this translates into missions or high profile security, who knows….but I do know that I feel like this is the next step to where God is leading me, and it being a huge step of faith, me going…..well lets see what happens haha!!!!!
Your prayers and support have meant more than you will ever know, God used you guys to help me understand who he is, and what Love really looks like! Thank you everyone who has read my blogs and supported me through prayer and finances. I have a little under 6 weeks left on the race and I am going to be going all out with the ministries I am working with, but know that because of what you have done, you have allowed God to work through me and help change the lives of people around the world!
