I have posted a few blogs before about my testimony and my calling to do the World Race. I would like to provide more information about the goal I have for fundraising.

As I have said, my ultimate goal is to raise $16,276. That’s no small amount of money. In fact, it is actually really intimidating. I mean, the most I have ever raised for a mission trip is $1,500, a fraction of what I have to raise for this one. Even though we continually see throughout the Scripture that God will not leave us “out to dry.” Fundraising is, in fact, a spiritual issue. Becoming an international missionary means that I will be depending on God to enable me to communicate a message to people of another culture that will lead them to change their entire worldview. This will take a miracle. It’s a good thing we serve a God of miracles, who has changed my life and continues to on a daily basis, and can cause a drastic transformation in the lives of others regardless of cultural walls. If He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, can He also not provide for us to answer His call?

As this is, in reality, a partnership between myself and those who choose to support me prayerfully and financially, I have decided it would be beneficial to provide you all with more information.

First let me give you a breakdown of my deadlines:

1. June 12th – $3,500

2. August 21st – $10,000

3. October 31st – $13,000

4. December 31st – Fully Funded ($16,267)

As you can see, I am given some time to still raise support while on the race through December. However, as I am sure you can imagine, there is a lot more peace in being fully funded beforehand, rather than trying to finish it while overseas.

Next, I want to provide you with a breakdown of where this money will go. I found this information from a blog written by another World Racer:

2% ($310) – Training Camp (Cultural Training before departure)

4% ($620) – Field Support (Getting us supplies, etc.)

12% ($1860) – WR Development Program

17% ($2635) – Administration fees (Processing, paying the staff who literally take care of every detail of our travel, food, lodging, etc.)

65% ($10,075) – World Racer Budget (see below for further breakdown)

$757 Health Insurance

And here is the breakdown of the World Racer Budget:

45% ($4,533.75) – Intercontinental Travel

13% ($1,309.75) – Food

19% ($1,914.25) – Lodging

11% ($1,108.25) – Transportation

12% ($1,209) – Long Distance Travel and Misc. Supplies

All of this should be viewed and considered in the context of eleven months.

Let me fill you in on how you can help support me on this trip:

1. Pray for the Lord to prepare and provide for me to answer this calling He has given me, as well as to prepare the hearts of those we will be ministering to to hear and receive the Gospel.

2. Consider supporting me financially by hitting the “Support Me” button on my blog home page. This works similarly to a GoFundMe, allowing you to make a direct contribution to my account for any amount, either one-time or monthly. Any amount helps!

3. Share my need and mission with people in your own lives to enable even more people to support and partner with me.

4. I am selling these t-shirts for $20 each as a way to raise money for the Race.

If you would like one you can email me: [email protected]

Thank you all for your prayers and support,

Blessings
