Wow! I just finished training camp, and what an experience that was! There will be a blog coming soon on that, but I’d like some time to process everything that just went down. So be looking forward to that!
I have been humbled and blessed to have been chosen to lead a team on the World Race. We will be leaving in September and I want to introduce you to the people I will be doing ministry with!
There is reason behind the name. This team contains some of the absolutely happiest and most joyful people I have ever met in my entire life. Trust me, that name fits well.
First of all, this is Abel!
He is by far one of the happiest men I have ever met. He loves the Lord. He loves basketball. He has a killer singing voice. He can freestyle rap with the best of em. Also, he makes you want to smile joyfully every time you come in contact with him.
Next, this is Marissa!
I honestly have never seen her not smiling. She has the voice of an angel and a fire for the Lord that is incredible. She promises we will get to see her weirder side as the months progress. I honestly can’t wait.
Next, let me introduce you to Matthew and Kristen Turvin!
The only married couple on our squad, I am immensely blessed to call them teammates. They are perfect examples of what a marriage centered and built upon the Lord. I am so looking forward to seeing how He works in their lives both as individuals and a couple in this next year.
This is Kris!
This girl right here has such a passion for the Lord. She has an awesome knowledge of the Bible and absolutely loves the Old Testament. She is quirky and fun loving. I can’t wait to see the work the Lord does in her life!
Last, but certainly not least, is Caitlin!
Caitlin is a true country girl. She loves horses. She loves Lord of the Rings. Ultimately, though, she has a deep love for the Lord and see others come to know Him. God is going to use her in incredible ways as she steps into this next chapter of her life.
This is a team of Joyful people who are Joyful because the Lord gives us Joy. We are passionate about taking that Joy to the nations so that people all over the world can raise a Joyful Noise to the Lord God Almighty!
