I just want to talk to you. There are so many topics we could go through, but lets lay aside those options and talk about but the one that will always hold true. You might think Im false, but I wont stop until all are bowed down at the feet of the One who was nailed to the cross. Bearing the curse of every sin. He hung there on that tree erasing every sin for us. Lying, cheating, murder, stealing, and lust. Then just like that Jesus gasped for air and said these words. Tetelestai. IT IS FINISHED. Just take a second and awe in that witness. The power of sin diminished. Shame extinguished. Hope replenished. Joy forever distinguished in Him. The old has passed away, behold the new has come. When I hear and read these truths I cant help but thumb through scripture to find out how to become more like Him, and share where that hope comes from. It definitely is not from the empty pursuits of the modern day to day routine of life. How much money is in your bank account, or the car that you brag about. People are barely living during the week wile living for the weekend hoping this next outing is better than the last with their friends. It never ends. Do you want to keep being disappointed by the instant gratification of this quote on quote friend we call sin. I don’t. I want my life to be fully satisfied in Him. So I ask you to look within and join me in this pursuit of holiness. Its not easy. He said it will be hard. Some of you will lose your lives for Him. We will all have persecution and pain, but to live is Christ and to die is gain. So I will accept that pain and hold to the claim that He is laying up treasures in heaven for those who are suffering for His name. To be honest if you aren’t suffering for His name, then who’s name are you living for. Its just a question to ask yourself, because when I read 1 Peter 2:21 I see Im called to follow in the footsteps of the one who suffered for us. Meaning I act like Him, speak like Him, think like Him, and yes, suffer like Him. Its not an optional thing. Its essential. So I’m not going to sit stagnant when I am called to be passionate for His kingdom. There are too many lukewarm christians in this world, so Lord set a fire under each and every one of us. I want to do more, be more, love more, see more, have more of You in me. How amazing would that be?

Men I want to talk to you. And before I even call you that let me ask you. Are you men, or are you just boys. Are you even grown? I know for the longest time I was the lord of my own thrown, and searching for satisfaction was all that I had known. Thinking that the pictures on my phone could give me something that would last, but all it did was make me moan and gasp. I don’t care if its porn, pride, or selfishness. What are we doing to pursue holiness. So lets grow up. Lets stop waisting our lives hoping and wishing a better life would just show up. There are so many boys in this world it makes me want to throw up. So lets become men. Lets pick up our crosses and lay down our shame. Because that shame was erased in Jesus’ name. Lets praise that name with all we have. Not being ashamed of the gospel, but eager to proclaim it for Jesus’ fame.

And ladies I haven’t forgot about you. I might not know as much to say but I know what is true. You are beautiful. Don’t let anybody say or do anything that would say or do otherwise. Because when Jesus looks into your eyes He is filled with pride. Pride for his beloved daughters. Pride that should make you cry. Not tears of pain or of sadness but of joy. He loves you so much more then that favorite toy you loved when you still hated boys…. and that day will come, when you find that boy, but make sure he’s not just a boy but a man. There can be so many plans that will build that friendship but please listen to this one. A woman’s heart should be so lost in God, that a man must seek Him in order to find her. Let that stir within your hearts to further your walk with Him. To make that man fall more in love with God as he falls in love with you.

Now lets bring it back. To the fact that we live in a world that hurls at the thought of men and girls that live their lives for Christ, but don’t let that get you down. The one who wears the crown is on our side. We have nothing to hide. Live your lives for Christ with pride. And if we die we get to look Jesus in the eyes and worship Him for the rest of our lives.
