Testimony Feeding Center was started by a man named Gadisa. growing up as an orphan, gadisa had to live on the streets and make the effort on his own to make it through school through university and simply survive. by the Lord’s provision, he ran into some businessmen in a random internet cafe who were impressed by his english one day. that ended up being his connection in working with another organization in Ethiopia called Hope Ethiopia. although gadisa wasn’t a christian at the time, God stayed faithful. through groups that came through the work with HE, gadisa had many people pray over him and continue to pour the love of the Lord onto him and give him Jeremiah 29:11 in prayer and notes. eventually curiosity struck him hard enough that he attended church one day instead of a major soccer match and gadisa was saved that day.
since then, gadisa has opened up Testimony. one branch takes care of 42 kids to provide them with food, clean clothes, and a safe place to spend their days. the other branch is where we are living. at the Testimony guest house 10 kiddos come for breakfast every morning and are provided with a meal to take to school. they get clean new clothes when the others wear out. they get a fun and supportive place to spend their weekends. these kids are either “half orphans” or completely orphans. meaning some of them have a mom but none know their father, and many of their mom’s can’t actually provide for them. Gadisa is their father. this is a family. because he has been so dedicated to the heavenly Father, gadisa has come from a kid with no family to being able to support over 50 kids through working with sponsors and the government in only a year now. crazy stories have come from the testimony of Testimony. let’s just say that the president of Ethiopia is on the board of directors for the organization… the goal is to build on a piece of land that the government is offering to gadisa. there will be many homes for orphans, feeding centers, medical clinics, a church, a rehabilitation center and more. the Lord stays faithful, and the Lord uses every and any child of His to expand the goodness of His Kingdom.
