Since moving back to Indiana in November there has been an abundance of opportunity to serve at home. The Lord has showed His goodness by opening my eyes to see the mission field is truly everywhere you step day in and day out. In the past I have chased a lot of skewed desires. Desires for new adventure, exciting experiences, and the image of “thriving.” All things that can be such a blessing but in the right timing. Moving back home has been the most fulfilling time of my life, and it has not been about clean slates or the most exciting thrills. It has been about acknowledging and refreshing what I already have. Taking advantage of the blessings before me and multiplying His Glory through it.

A huge part of that has come from getting to be a part of Dream Center Crossroads of America. I am so excited to share that for 2019 I have taken a position as an intern with Dream Center here in Indianapolis!

Dream Center is an organization that started in Los Angeles, California but has now expanded to over 60 locations in the States and 9 countries internationally. While working with the homeless, refugees, and communities in need of hope, each location is able to focus on the needs of their immediate city and pursue the heart of Christ in different ways. In Indianapolis we are trying to meet expansive goals this year, and it is such a privilege to be a part of that team!

Each week we get to serve our city through physical and spiritual support: “The Indy Dream Center is changing the environment in Indiana through mobile hunger relief and medical programs, Bible studies and more. In the future we hope to be able to have residential rehabilitation programs for adults, a shelter for victims of human trafficking, transitional housing for homeless families, foster care intervention programs, job skills training, life skills, counseling, basic education. We work to meet people where they are at, to bring them hope and a way off the streets.”

Day in and day out our team works with many people that others would rather ignore. But God is pressing this question on our hearts: “If you don’t serve the cries of the lost then who will?”

With so much going on, there is a hunger to learn more and strive to do it well. Because of that, we have a mission trip to the original Dream Center in LA this upcoming July 2019! There we will get to see and participate in the every day work they provide through medical care, housing, food distribution, and genuine relationship building with those living on the street. Please prayerfully consider helping me reach my $1,500 goal I need by May 31st in order to attend. This includes flights, housing, and food for a week long trip.

Dream Center’s mission is to build a community of resilient people whose lives have been redeemed by God’s love. If you would like to learn more about who we are and how we do this, please reach out! If you want to help support me financially there are a few options:
