THANK YOU for joining me on this adventure and for your prayers of love and support!

I spent 10 days at Training Camp in Gainesville, GA preparing for launch in August. The first 24 hours I spent pretty distant, trying to get a feel for what Adventures in Missions and the World Race really stood for.

Since I have never been affiliated with AIM before, I wanted to make sure I really believed in the mission they were set out for and that they really were set out for what they said they were.

I was blown away.

I’m in this beautiful, not-so-temporary season of life where I truly want to seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and NOT lean on my own understanding.. to let go of these things that I’ve clung to for so long in order to seek the Lord and spread the gospel.

Everyone I met on the WR staff did a great job of feeding into us racers as they encouraged us through different field scenarios, training exercises, and how we processed them personally with the Lord.

**SPOILERS TO POTENTIAL FUTURE RACERS**

A quick summary of what TC looked like:

Each day was set up as a different country. We were told where we “were” and taught some of the customs and courtesies. The dress code was as strict as the country we were “visiting” that day and the food was similar to what we would find there.. all the way down to the [lack of] eating utensils.

In addition to the food and dress, each night we were given a different scenario from lost luggage, community living(packed like sardines into one tent), being stuck in a [bright, cold, loud] airport, to taking shifts on night watch.

We were tasked both mentally and physically in stressful scenarios to see how we handle stress and get a better look at who we’re going to be living with for 11 months.. because it’s surely not always going to be pretty.

The team that I will be spending the first chunk of the race with is made up of 5 other women that I am extremely excited to get to intimately know their hearts as we have time to grow and do life together! Their names are Burt (Brittany), Savannah, Bethany, Melissa, and Lynna. Prayers for me and my team are very much appreciated and I look forward to sharing my journey with the Lord around the world with you as we go!!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.
