Without further ado, I am pleased to introduce…
Bethany:

Bethany is wise. Forget her double major in bio and mechanical engineering, don’t mind her vast knowledge of just about every subject that ever comes up, don’t even worry about the incredible amount of scripture she can pull from her mind. This girl’s wisdom goes beyond the facts. Bethany’s knowledge of God’s saving grace is evident in the way she pours her life out in love and service to those around her while knowing when she needs to make time for herself.
Lynna:

If you thought that I was a joyous person, wait until you meet this ray of sunshine! Lynna soaks in every opportunity to laugh and replies with a song to just about any conversation! Her heart after the Lord and craving for all things that glorify Him is a great refreshment in stressful situations. She is often found with a contagious smile that will brighten up your soul.
Brittany AKA:

Burt is the greatest team leader you could ask to follow. She seeks to know the depth of your heart with thoughtful questions. Your words will be met by attentive ears and encouraging words. She is a humble prayer warrior that leads by example. There is hardly anything she’ll ask you to do that you haven’t already witnessed her doing. She leads by example, from the front, sword of the Spirit held high. Burt is a selfless servant, peaceful presence, and phenomenal friend.
Savannah:

She will teach you about sacrifice, relationship, and identity. Savannah is open with who she is and demonstrates the wonders of vulnerability in letting go of the things we cling to. She is the first to step forward and speak up in the most beautiful of ways. Savannah is an incredible daughter of the most high King who displays her love for the Lord in the way she speaks and seeks after others.
Melissa:

This woman will build you up like no other. Her thoughtful words flow from the Holy Spirit and speak God’s truth in different areas of life. She will come behind you with incredible support and seek out every resource she can get her hands on to bless you. Melissa is a master of sentimental gifts and encouraging words.
Maybe I can explain.. I’m going to throw this back to last June. Our team name came from our first day together as a team. We sat down to eat pizza in Gainesville, Georgia where we shared a little bit about ourselves. We ended up with… Abiding Azar.
To abide..
to bear patiently
to endure without yielding
to wait for
to accept without objection
to remain stable or fixed in a state
to continue in a place
(So says Merriam-Webster)
Azar is a Hebrew word for help used in the Bible.
We each knew that we wanted to be individuals who abide in the Lord as well as helpers to others in multiple ways.
At first glance, we may look like a bunch of odd balls (mostly because we are). We have different backgrounds, different opinions, different PERSONALITIES! But one thing we all have in common is our love for Jesus, our desire to know Him more and to share Him with others.
It has been an interesting, incredible start to a wild adventure and I could not imagine doing this thing called the World Race and LIFE with a different group of women!
If you missed the video of our lip sync battle, here’s a highlight!

There is something to be said about those you can have fun with.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will *help* you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 ESV
