I’m a 26-year-old former newspaper reporter, current and future reporter of the best news ever, originally from a small town in West Texas called Fort Stockton, although I now live in the beautiful city of San Antonio and love it here.

I’ve been going to church my entire life, but became a Christian at 17. I’m the youngest of four and love my family very much even though it’s hard for me to show it sometimes. I have SEVEN nieces and nephews: Jacob, Analisa, Andrew, Adam, Joshua Alan, Joshua Ryne and Tabitha, who are awesome and who I looove hanging out with even though I rarely get to do it. I secretly think God must favor my siblings a little since he gave them probably the most beautiful, funnest and smartest kids ever.

I like to think I have awesome perseverance considering I’ve been waiting 100 years for my ultimate dream to come true: for the Chicago Cubs to win the World Series. And while I hate to admit it, I do fear that they’ll do it while I’m away living the World Race dream. So a little, bitty, bitty part of me is secretly hoping they wait for me to come home, but if I admit that out loud I wouldn’t be a real fan so I’ll never say it out loud. If this is the year, I hope my teammates are prepared for a huge celebration because THERE WILL be celebration!

Aside from that, here are some of my favorite things:
