Hi Everyone,
Since
our World Race launch in June, we’ve been
traveling around the world for a little over three months now! (There
is so much want to share, but to avoid a very long email, we have added
many links within that will take you to related blogs.) We began
our ministry in Mexico (Palenque & Trinidad) during the month of July, next our team traveled to Panajachel & Antigua,
Guatemala in August, then we debriefed in Thailand at Ko Samet Island,
and we have just finished our month stay in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Our travels so far have been full of excitement, adventure and personal growth, as well as the rough realities of third-world culture shock, including poverty & brokenness, child abandonment, violence, human trafficking and prostitution.
We both are continuously being transformed by the hands of God.
Each day we are learning a little more about ourselves, about true
grace and community, true abandonment, about what the Kingdom of God
looks like, and slowly how this trip is laying a firm foundation for us
to stand and build upon for the rest of our lives. It is very enjoyable
being able to plant seeds in the lives of so many people all over the
world. It is incredible to see the impact a smile and a simple prayer
can have. We are also comforted in the way that the Lord never ceases
to meet us where we are at.
We thank you all for your support and prayers. It definitely isn’t
a simple journey, so we hope you continue to push forward in your
thoughts and prayers for us as we push ourselves in Spirit and in
Truth. It has been a blessing to see just how God provides at the
perfect moment.
So many people, our family, friends and even some who barely know
us, have supported us in ways we couldn’t of ever imagined possible. It
is amazing to see how you’ve all come together as a community to serve
where there is need, our need and God’s desire to continue building His
Kingdom throughout the world, and especially within ourselves. We thank
you for being willing to invest in us with your time of prayer and
words of encouragement, as well as investing in us financially. Thank
you, thank you, thank you!
