NOVEMBER 24, 2011. 8:48 P.M. HARIPUR, NEPAL. THANKSGIVING…
I feel that it is necessary to write a blog on this day. No turkey or cranberry sauce this year. No early-morning race in Wilmington with Uncle Richie. No late-night showing of Elf. Instead, I am in a foreign land eating rice, praying for sick people, and snuggling baby goats. I miss home a whole heck of a lot, but there is no place I’d rather be than right here.

I guess I’ll just share what I’m thankful for . . .
-The endless love of Jesus. Every time I think I’ve reached a new depth in His grace, He takes me even deeper. He always satisfies me, yet I am never satisfied with the level in which I know Him. He is so good to me.
-How the Lord is using this trip to refine and teach me in ways I never anticipated. The freedom and boldness He continues to release is extraordinary.
-My parents. The way in which these two people love and support me in the way I have lived/live my life is unexplainable.
-I am humbled that God uses my life to touch others. That I may proclaim the good news of Jesus to those who have never heard His name is beyond my understanding.
-My sister, Lindsay for her spiritual fervor that spurs me on. Her obedience to Christ and willingness to follow no matter the cost is something to be craved.
-I love my brother, Chris a whole heck of a lot. His work ethic is admirable and I miss him more than he knows.
-I am thankful for all my friends. You know who you are: Colorado, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Norway, and everywhere in-between. God has blessed this girl with the greatest, most supportive friends anyone could ever ask for.
-Waldo. I couldn’t imagine myself on any other team. God is so right in His ways.
-I am forever grateful for the people who support me financially and prayerfully on this trip. I can't believe God would bless me this much.
I hope you all had a wonderful day with the people you love the most.
