I like a lot of things and have far too many hobbies. More than anything, He is everything. "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace." -Acts 20:24 …..this is my prayer.
I am humbled and astonished that I have the opportunity to do this thing that I've dreamt of for years…traveling the world to broadcast this Love that has found me.
Human Trafficking. Over the past few years, I've obtained a passion to help combat the vicious cycle known as the sex trade. In the spring of 2009, I read an article about a young woman who was a journalist in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. While eating breakfast at a cafe, she saw right before here eyes, a transaction of a child. A man had purchased her right along with his pancakes. I couldn't sleep that night. From then on, I began researching, reading, learning. I went to documentary screenings in Philadelphia. In my relocation to Colorado, I began attending meetings for the local Human Trafficking Task Force. Because of all this, I am most excited (and admittedly nervous) to go to countries such as Thailand, Cambodia, and India. Though it sounds gruesome and impossible at times, I know that I must spend my life saving lives no matter the cost.

I like to hike, travel, be at the ocean, hear live music, run, play futbol, climb rocks, write, catch crabs, read 5 books at a time, ride my bike around the city, sleep in my hammock, and spend quality time with the people I love doing "most" of these things. Oh, I am also "learning" to love winter activities. : )

Now for the people I love the most…

John & Cynthia. My parents are awesome. Need proof? A few nights ago they went to a U2 concert. In September they are going to hike the Jungfrau. Sorry for the embarrassing picture, Dad. Send me a more sophisticated one and I'll replace it. : ) I should mention that my dad is a cop. He doesn't like to make it public, but I think it's fantastic. It's always been to my benefit in keeping the creepers away. My mom used to be a paralegal and is now an administrative and marketing guru. These folks have supported me in all my crazy life endeavors. My mom prays dangerous prayers for me…has been since I was 7 after reading me Little House on the Prairie before bedtime. I think these prayers are paying off, for the Lord is definitely bringing them to pass!

Lindsay. My sister and best friend…fo real. She is a senior at Messiah College and majoring in Social Work. She has the passion, patience, and outgoing spirit to work with the most "difficult" people. With her overwhelming heart for the Father and the things of the Kingdom, my little sister spurs me on in my own faith…more than she will ever know. She is also a wicked good athlete. Just sayin. Oh, and she is the only one (to my knowledge) who shares in my undying love for Rootdown. We are Goonies.

John Jr. …we call him Chris. My brother is one of the brightest and boldest people I know. A senior at St. Georges Technical HS. He is a plumber by trade, an influencer by nature. I know he'll go far no matter what path he takes. He has the heart to fight for what is right. This guy also makes me laugh more than most. I recall his sense of humor every day even though he lives 3,000 miles away. I must mention that he loves politics and is more knowledgeable than 98.9% of working adult citizens in our country. Gosh, I love this kid.
so that is my family.
some other important things…

this is my favorite meal.

this is where i catch those suckers.
