The Awakening

We are a generation called. We walk with an understanding that the Kingdom is at hand and the irresistible calling of that destiny exposes the insatiable desire for something greater. The World Race is part of that destiny, part of that movement that something larger than ourselves is brewing…and we can’t help but run after it.

AN INVITATION
Hey everyone! This morning the I-squad leaves Bucharest for Brasov, Romania to camp out with ALL of the current World Racers out on the field. Much of the WR Alumni, coaches and mentors and AIM head honchos are leading this huge conference called The Awakening. This is really going to be a sacred time of gathering together the Kingdom of God and get us more prepared and fired up to go out to the nations for the glory of the LORD!
I invite you to be in prayer with all of us during this experience. True to World Race this is probably going to be a time of brokenness, prayer, challenging, worship, intercession, communion, sharing, exhortation and so much more. It’s gonna be such a treat to meet racers from three other squads (some brand new to the overseas field, and some wrapping up their Race before going home). I’m pumped!
But I also need prayer because after The Awakening, that means moving on to the next country, Israel. My heart is breaking just thinking about leaving Romania. God has truly done something special in my heart with this place. I’ve wrestled with so much, but I’m sticking to my commitment to keep going and keep following God daily on this crazy adventure of His. There is so much work to be done here and Lord willing, I will be brought back for a long-term position. (That’s a future blog…)
SUPPORT UPDATE:
My goal of being at 80% funded by September 1st (or $11,000 in my account) was reached just in the nick of time! THANK YOU all who have been supporting me financially and especially through prayer. I’ve tried to keep up with news in the States; no doubt it’s been rocky with the economy. BUT God is truly using your financial commitment to do great works…and I’ve only been to 3 countries so far. If you’ve been reading my blogs, it is evident that your contribution has made a difference. I ask that you and I both continue to trust God with financial provision. Several people that have told me they could give monthly but have not been able to honor that commitment as planned…and yet God brought forth funds anonymously or from readers. I THANK GOD FOR YOU!
I have $1,100 outstanding in pledges through November. This means I now lack just $1,410.00 to be raised by December!!! How sweet is that?!
Please spread the words to your churches, your friends and family, anyone about the great work our squad is doing for God. I couldn’t be here without your help. God bless you for your amazing generosity towards me and this squad.
