Travelling is quite an ordeal and it wears me out completely, haha.

On July 29th, I left Nicaragua from Managua and made a pit stop in Houston for a couple hours.  I was panicking about missing the layover in Houston because of bad weather, delays, problems in customs, whatever.  But God worked everything out perfectly (thank you all that prayed for that whole situation!).  I was able to fly through customs and spend about 30 minutes hanging out with Andrew and driving around the airport as we talked about what’s been going on, vision, expectations, etc.  That 30 minutes was such a gift and I’m ever so grateful for that little bit of time at “home”.  It was hard leaving again, but it’s comforting to know how much support I’ve received from family and friends with this whole crazy venture I’m on.  Thank you again everyone for all you’ve done to get me here!

So from Houston, our flight went to Boston.  We got into late because of a weather delay leaving out of Houston.  We gathered up with some of the other teams and got to stay in the Hilton Hotel right next to the airport.  I figured since I have trouble sleeping on planes I would stay up all morning and take care of business on the new laptop and take advantage of some internet access.  I was able to find some girls who were making a Target trip and was able to pick up more clothes and basic necessities to replenish my supplies.

The squad was split into 3 groups/3 flights.  Matt, Kristin and I tagged along with Agape8 on our flight to Dublin, Ireland.  Our flight left at 6pm and we arrived in Dublin around 5am.  We gathered together at a coffee shop for dinner and worship.  The last time I slept was in Nicaragua so by this time I was thoroughly EXHAUSTED and suffering from some serious jet lag.  But coming together to sing and pray and remember that God has watched over us uplifted my spirits.  One of our group is still in Boston getting some medical attention.  The rest of the squad has finally made it to our campsite in Galway as of yesterday.  It’s been quite an ordeal getting everyone here.  I’m not gonna lie…I’m ready to move to Ireland and settle down here.  This place is so beautiful and the Irish accent is my fave so far. 😉

So until August 6th, we’re here in Galway camping out (yeah tent city!!!).  It’s been cold, windy and rainy but the change is quite delightful. 🙂  My team and I may go on an all-day tour of some castles and Irish landmarks for my birthday.  And this time I’m finally taking pictures so we all get to enjoy the trip!  No details about next month yet so you’ll get to enjoy the suspense just like me!

Miss you all!!!!!!!!

(I apologize for not having photos….I have to figure out something on this computer to make it so I can post them….ugh!)
