Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds you well! I am writing to share some exciting news. This October 2018 I will embark on an amazing opportunity that God has placed upon me. It is an 11-month mission trip to 11 countries all over the world! This trip is through Adventures in Mission called The World Race. In every country, we will be partnering with local churches and communities where we will work in orphanages, teach English, aid women and children who have been victims of human trafficking and bring hope and God’s love to those along the way. What countries? Our team will be going to the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Lesotho, Swaziland, South Africa, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Ecuador.
Why? Last summer I was sitting in my apartment going through my Facebook and Instagram feeds, I found myself scrolling past the videos where the airplanes and rubble fell on innocent families and children. If I stopped to watch I would feel useless and depressed. I felt selfish and useless either way. I firmly believe in doing and being the change that you want to see in the world. Finally, I could not avoid the urge any longer and I set on to search for trips to Thailand for October of 2018 with plans to stay for a month. I was to partner with either a church or temple to help the women and children. I prayed and knew I could not do this trip alone. Finally, God placed The World Race at my fingertips! God placed it upon me to help not only the people of Thailand but those of 10 additional countries as well.
I would like to invite you to join me on this incredible adventure and help me in being the change! First and foremost, I am seeking prayer support as my team and I prepare for our launch.
Second, to move forward with this mission trip I will need to raise $18,200. This amount will cover my travel, living and food expenses for the year. Although this is an intimidating figure I have faith in God and know that He will provide in a big way through the wonderful friends and family He has blessed me with. Within the next 9 months I will conduct special fundraisers that will help me arrive at my goal before launch date October 05, 2018. I will post these on my Facebook and Instagram pages as well.
