Hey guys!!

So in my last blog I mentioned how God wrecked my world with one small question “What does your identity in Christ look like?”

Well, here it is. This is a series I like to call “I”. It’s honestly notes from one of my conversations with God.

Yep. Those are real. If you’d like to try it, sit down in silence with the intention to hear Him. Then turn on some instrumental music and listen to him. Finally, trust. Trust that He speaks and you listen. (Practice this, you’ll get better. 🙂 )

Ok, here it is.

THINGS HUMANS SAY I AM:
Codependent
Crazy
Weird
Unloved and unworthy of love
Bossy
A sad story
Not enough
Too much
Not worthy
Undeserving
Stuck
Behind
“Special”
A reason for shame

WHAT GOD SAYS I AM:
I am not a slave to a label created by humans to make themselves feel more at peace. I am not a slave to a label placed on me because I think differently than others do. I am wonderfully made by my father who is my creator. I am loved and I have been chosen by him specifically. If I am enough for the creator of this universe, I am enough for the people of this Earth, people who are merely human. I am who God made me to be. Period.

I have been gifted many gifts from God. Leadership, Mercy, Wisdom and Life itself. God has created me to be free. I am no longer a slave to fear of what man thinks I am because I am an ambassador of Christ. My God says I am deserving of all. So deserving that he made me co-heir with Christ of all his kingdom. This Earth is not home, being with my father will be home one day. In the meantime, God helps me live in a broken world, fighting off what the enemy tries to make me believe I am.

I am free of shame and I am free from any chains that man has created and put me in. Those chains are broken and will never be again. In the name of our most Holy King I am free.

Wowsers!!! Isn’t God so cool?! I serve a king who treats me like I am his equal. Finding out who I am not and who I am has been a beautiful experience, and I could not have done it without my beautiful team, my community for this entire year. My view of life has changed so much since this conversation with God. Knowing who I am has changed the way I treat myself, and the way I view myself. I am worthy and deserving of everything that is in God’s kingdom. What an honor!! Seriously, ask yourself: “Who am I?”

Ask God who you are and who you were before this world told you who you are.
Being alive isn’t surviving by the skin of your nails each and every day. Being alive isn’t loathing in temporary happiness. Being alive means being who God has called you to be. Being alive means knowing that God is the only one who can fill all the emptiness you have always felt inside, an emptiness that was created by man.

(Exhale) lol

If love to hear from you! And I’d love to know what God told you as you meditated with him! 🙂
