Hola everyone!
So as promised I am letting you know how good people are to me through love and support! So last Sunday Mrs. Tamara and I bakes for a few hours and made 42 small and 8 medium rum cakes. Mrs. Tamara has only been baking these cakes once a year and it’s strictly only for the holidays! She offered to bake these cakes for me (I offered my help) and was willing to break her once a year tradition just to help me with my bake sale! Our lovely Juana helped me spread the word in the morning and before we knew it everyone was having a cake! Support was coming through left and right. Questions about The World Race we’re being asked and I shared my story with those who were eager to know more. I received prayers from coworkers I rarely speak to! I put faces to names of people I rarely come in contact with unless it is over a phone call or via email. Lots of people donated more than the suggested donation. I could feel God providing all morning and everyone, absolutely every single person was moved with what God has put on all our hearts. I have been truly humbled with all the love and support and prayers my work family gave me, and all of His work came through rum cakes! I must admit, I might have an addiction to rum cakes! xD
However, God wasn’t done working with me just yet. My bake sale was Monday, Tuesday morning God spoke to an anonymous donor. I encountered him at the hospital I work for and have only seen him twice since I’ve worked there. He has has always been impressed and has always appreciated the kindness I try to show him and his family and asked for a business card! I couldn’t believe it. He donated $100 and took my card. He said to email him and he would keep up with my blog throughout the entire year! I cannot wait to show him and all of you through this very blog what the Lord is going to have me do and the lives He will touch thanks to all the support, love and prayers you have all showered me with. I am truly humbled, He is always good.
