Tegucigalpa, Honduras

In December of last year a vision was born to provide natural and spiritual food for the poor of Honduras.  A group of people with a similar desire began to meet and by the end of January this group of 25 people were visiting the public hospital.  Hospital Escuela (School Hospital) is free of charge becaus eit is attached to the University and it is where the medical students gain experience.  There are some serious problems at this hospital including lack of funding, exteme need, adn little experience and equipment.

We met Antonio outside of the hospital one day when we noticed he was praying for people.  Anotonio explained that they come to that hospital because it is one of the most hopeless places in Tegucigalpa.  They bring coffee and cookies to people who have slept outside for days while waiting for permission to go in and see their family member.  They also pray with these people as they listen to story after story of seeminly hopeless situations.  Antonio explained to me that each person inthis group has a testimony of God saving them from the streets, from durgs, and from other hopeless situations.  They are excited to meet each week and share their message of hope to anyone who will listen.

We asked Antonio what the greates need of the ministry is and he did not hesitate in his answer: a place.  As Antonio and the others pray wit people they find that there are those who don't want to live on the streets anymore.  They want to clean up inside and out, but Anotonio does not have a place to open up to these people.  He calls it their greatest dream.  Antonio acknowledges that it may seem impossible right now but they know that God can do anything and they are trusting.  Please join them in praying for God to make a way.
