Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen. Psalm 77:19
Do you ever take a moment to stop, look around and wonder how it is that you got where you are at? I do it all the time. And God often reminds me that greater things are still to come. It’s the way he chooses to get me there that is the surprise. My vision is so clouded and my understanding so limited compared to God’s. I can come up with a great plan of how to get where I am going, but what if there is another way that I don’t even know about?
Will I follow his steps to the edge of the water before a path is even visible?
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to get moving. Exodus 14:15
It is not my job to create a path. It is my job to get moving–to allow God to lead me through the mighty waters. He has a path in mind. Will I trust him to clear the way?
It was not my plan to spend the rest of this year in Gainesville, Georgia. It was not my plan to sit at a desk or in a classroom this year. And yet….here I am. I look around and I know that I am exactly where I am supposed to be. He had a path in mind that no one knew was there.
