So, if you didn't read the blog right before this, you should, if you like (I mean, it's not a prerequisite or anything, but this one would make more sense).  I told you this blog would be about my own personal ridiculous dreams. So, here they go, from probably like huge world vision ones to most personally ridiculous:

I dream of:

An end of racism and class inequality.  Living in a world in which we don't see others as this attribute or that sterotype or whatever classification, but TRULY see each other as real living breathing human beings who, like us, are figuring out this thing called life.  Human beings who think and feel and are as much in need of grace as ourselves. Other people whom God is crazy in love with and whom we are also called to love radically and much.  I think if we could truly get our minds around that every second of the day, we would behave so much differently in all kinds of situations.  From going through the check out line in the grocery store to simply walking down the street.  Yeah, this kind of few causes us to live not always comfortably, but way more beautifully as we constantly find beauty not only in God's creation of this earth, but in God's masterpiece of humankind that inhabits it.

(So, these next two weren't originally from my mind, but I picked them up because they are amazing dreams that I wish everyone would pick up as well)

An end to human trafficking and exploitation of others.  If we truly embrace the worldview above, we can not just sit by and let this happen.

A world where all children grow up being truly taken care of by families who are full of love.  A world in which children cannot remember a time when they didn't know how much God loves and adores them. A world in which all children are given hope of a life with a purpose, full of joy.

A society shift from looking out for ourselves and always first and foremost taking care of number one to truly living interconnectedly with the needs of others being as important as those of our own.  A society in which those who have cannot be happy and content when seeing their brothers and sisters who have not.  A society which takes action and is affected by the suffering of others.  Who truly strives to bear each others burdens.

See a shift in the patriarchal/oppressive views of women and that some women have for themselves.  Women having a true and full understanding of their place in the kingdom and being empowered to fulfill those callings placed on their lives.

Now for the ridiculousish ones:

A change in the media and mindset concerning pop culture.  A culture which fully appreciates not only the new and upcoming, but that art which transcends time.  A culture which can truly regard both Adele and Judy Garland.  The comedy of Jeff Dunham as well as that of Abbot and Costello.

Write a book. No idea what about.

Run a highly successful and impactful camp.

Travel as an inspirational speaker.  (How cool would that be?)

Translate the entire Bible. (I told you these were a bit ambitious)

Visit every country in the world.

Have God's love in me regularly draw people to a relationship with him.

Meet and somewhat impact influential people/leaders.

Create something beautiful and completely unique.

Leave a mark.

So those are what I would call my wildest dreams.  I pray that these things truly shape how I live my life day to day.  Also, if you still aren't bought in to the whole dreaming thing, don't take my word for it, but check out what these pretty incredible people have to say:

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. – Eleanor Roosevelt

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.  Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and to change the world.  – Harriet Tubman

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.  – Henry David Thoreau

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.  – Anatole France

So…..LET'S GET DREAMING!
