Dear All,
My name is Mariana Cabada. I am a resident of Long Beach, California. I work for the LBUSD as an Instructional Aide at Lowell Bayside Academy. I love my job working with the children and the wonderful community that is Lowell, but as much as I am happy with what I am doing currently, I feel called to do something I have an even bigger passion for and that is helping those most in need around the world. I have recently been offered the chance. I have been accepted to go on the World Race a mission trip to 11 countries in 11 months serving the least of these. From October 2016 to August 2017 I’ll be doing life with 55 other young adults on a mission trip to Asia, Southern Africa and South America with Adventures in Missions. I will dedicate 11 months to serving others. Service looks different every month, depends on the need of each country, may care for orphans, teach English, lead sport camps, feed the hungry, visit people in prison, work with sex trafficked victims, care for the elderly, conduct VBS, etc. I have prayed and thought about it a lot and have decided to give 11 months to God by serving Him on the mission field.
There are two ways you can help. The most important is to pray for all racers, people we will encounter and me. Pray for God to go ahead of our team, prepare the way, and pave the way for us to accomplish everything He has planned. The second; I need to raise financial support. I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs. I intend to contribute as much as I can personally earn. However, I cannot do it alone. The cost of the trip is $17,000. I am seeking financial supporters who will enable me to serve God on this mission. Would you partner with me by being a prayer and/or financial supporter? I’m seeking 100 people who can give a one time donation of $100 each or consider donating $20 monthly for 5 months. However any gift is greatly appreciated and will help immensely. Would you pray about being one of these people?
