Dear Papa,

I'm gonna be completely honest with you–I'm scared. I trust you, I do….but there is a fear in me that one subside. I think it's the fear of disappointing you. The fear of disappointing people. The fear of being inadequate. The fear of sharing false information. The fear of not knowing enough. Papa, how do you expect me to preach to the nations when I don't know your word by heart?

You know what I love about you papa??! You wink at the perfect time–right when I needed you!

(Pause. What is a godwink you ask?! A godwink is what some people would call a coincidence, an answered prayer, or simply an experience where you'd say, "Wow, what are the odds of that!" What do godwinks mean? Think about when you were a kid and someone you loved gave you a little wink across the dining room table…Mom or Dad or Grandma. You didn't say "What do you mean by that?" You knew. It meant: "Hey kid, I'm thinking about you right now." That's what a godwink is too: a message of reassurance from above, directly to you, out of six billion people on the planet, saying "Hey kid…I'm thinking of you! Keep the faith! You're never alone.")

Thank you for the wink the other day, Papa! You led me straight to the book Crazy Love when I was in Barnes and Noble and you flipped the page open to the verse that I needed to see!

"Ah, Lord God!" I said, "I know not how to speak; I am too young." But the Lord answered me, "Say not, 'I am too young.' To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak. Have no fear before them, because I am with you to deliver you," says the Lord. Then the Lord extended his hand and touche dmy mouth, saying, "See I place my words in your mouth! This day I set you over nations and over kingdoms, To root up and to tear down, to destroy and to demolish, to build and to plant." Jeremiah 1: 6-10

Amen, Papa!! That was such a good word! Thank you! I may not be the wisest or the most eloquent racer, but in your name I will step forward and walk with authority. Fear, doubt, uncertainty, anxiouness…they are not from you Papa! I surrender everything up to you and I trust that you will mold me, lead me, and instruct me on what I need to do. And if you are for me, who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

I hear "LOVE" papa! You are telling me…love. Speak out of love. If I  speak love, I speak the truth…and I speak of you. For you are the way, the truth and the life! As a believer papa, I will love everyone up to the level of asking questions and then love them into the answers!!

Thank you for the wink, Papa. It is yet again a subtle reminder that you love me and that you are always listening!

Love,
Your mouthpiece
