Hey guys! It’s been quite a bit since my last blog post. If you haven’t read that one yet, I highly encourage you to! God did some crazy things and He’s continuing to do so!

It’s been a wild two weeks to be honest. A lot of highs. A lot of lows. A lot of learning experiences. A lot of processing. A lot of doubts. A lot of worries. A lot of uncertainty. A lot of stress. A lot of frustration. A lot of tears. A lot of discouragement creepin in. A lot of hours dealing with writer’s block. A lot of long conversations with God about what to do next.

Most of you who know me know I’m a HUGE people-person and that I absolutely love being with and around people. It’s been very difficult for me lately to find people who I can actually talk to about things that go on a deeper and more spiritual level. I’ve felt as if I have no friends, even though I know I do.

This season of my life has been no joke. My best friend moved away for school in a different state. My other close friend did the same thing. These are the two people I’ve gone to for everything and to not have them physically here with me kinda wrecks me. I don’t even have a core group I go to. And don’t get me wrong, I love my mentors, older friends, and friends via social media, but to just have that person my age that I can meet up with to hear them say, “hey, I get you. I’m right there with you,” is someone I need right now.

It is SO important to be in community with not just people, but other followers of Christ to be there to support you with your dreams, goals, and aspirations, especially the ones that the Lord has placed within your heart to be passionate about. To be there to pray boldly for you. To cheer you on. To encourage you. To remind you who you are in Christ.

Thank you to my friend, you know who you are, for sharing this really encouraging message on Instagram. (This person explained it way better than I did). It really spoke to me on a different level and helped me realize that you need to surround yourself with fellow believers and how effective that can be on a day to day basis and even in your life in general.

Another thing I’d like to share with you is that God is so very generous and exceeds so many of our human standards and expectations, especially the things we think are impossible to do or reach. One of the things I thought was impossible was reaching the goal of being 25% funded by October 25th. I was seriously worried I wouldn’t make it and I didn’t fully trust He would do it, but God definitely showed up in a much grander way than I would have ever expected and told me, “Mariah, trust me. I hear You. My Spirit is leading You. Do not worry, my daughter. Things are changing and I am elevating you to higher places that don’t include what you think is best for, but what I KNOW is best for you; what I have planned and prepared for you.”

With that said, I am happy to announce that I am now 24% funded! Woohoo!! Praaaaaaise Jesus!!!

I am also SO very excited to announce one of the ideas my dear friend helped me with that came in about a week ago! Can I get a drum roll pleaaaaase?!

POSTCARDS! I made postcards of the locations I’ve been on mission trips to! There’s three different ones from: Ensenada, Mexico; Orosi, Costa Rica; and Rwanda, Africa. They are all designed differently and they honestly look so much better than I thought. If you’d like to see the postcards, check em out on my mission Instagram page (@mariahsmissions).

For more updates, feel free to follow the account above! I’m going to be more active in posting about upcoming fundraising ideas, the process of all things WR related, and updates in general. Another way you can keep up with me and this adventure is to subscribe to my blog!

Thank you, friends, for reading yet another blog post! I appreciate you all and the time you take out of your day to read about what Jesus puts on my heart!

Psalms 145:17, “The Lord is righteous in EVERYTHING He does; He is filled with kindness.”
