Living in Cambodia has been nothing but so beneficial for me and the growth in my faith with the Lord. My relationship with Him has become so much more intimate than it’s ever been.
I’ve always been the kind of girl to be in love with nature and my surroundings because it’s all a huge reminder that God had created a beautiful realm for us to live in during our earthly lives. My appreciation for nature has grown so much more since being here.
Every blade of grass. Every gust of wind. Every rooster crowing. Every sunrise. Every sunset. Every tree. Every creature. Every human. Every beam of light.
Every time the Lord sends me out on the mission field, I become so convicted of living in such a fast-paced society. It’s so different. Different in a good way. It’s easy to live here. No pressure. No worries. No schedule – besides the flexibility we’ve had now that we’ve started ministry.
Livin life swingin in a hammock while drinkin coffee from a bag while readin my Bible has been so relaxing and so needed during the time we have off throughout the week. Honestly, I’m still so very glad I don’t have access to the internet during the week. We come to a local coffee shop once a week that provides wifi and I’m able to call back home. I love being disconnected from my phone and just really pressing into the moments of where I’m at, and again, just being super present with the people around me.
One quote that’s stuck with me for awhile is this:
“Live simply so others can simply live.”
So simple, so beautiful. So much meaning behind it.
I encourage you to live simply so that others can simply live regardless of how fast-paced and how busy we all can get wherever you’re at. I would love to hear all your updates as well as you hearing from mine. Love you all. God bless!
