Hey everyone!
My name is Mariah Weingarten. I grew up in Palm Harbor, Florida with my dad, Joseph, my mom, Darlean, and my big sister, Amanda. This is a picture of my family when we went to Ireland this past summer:
I am 24 years old and I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2013. I graduated with a major in Environmental Studies and minors in Biology and Interdisciplinary Studies.
I love to read books and watch movies. I love to take pictures and learn new things. I love to sing and I am currently attempting to write songs (I’ll let you know how that turns out…) I am so beyond exited to be going on the World Race!
Many things have influenced me in my life, but the thing that has influenced me the most lately, is my best friends’ son, Benjamin Noah. Kristin and Casey had Benjie on September 16, 2015. He was born with a chromosomal disorder called Trisomy 18. Benjamin went to be with Jesus on October 22, 2015. He was and still is such an inspiration to my life and the life of so many others. Watching Kristin and Casey walk through this season of their lives has been so encouraging and inspiring to so many, myself included. Here’s a picture of sweet Benjie:
I have so many hopes and dreams for this race. I pray that God would reveal Himself more to me every day. I pray that He would begin to show me what He is calling me to do with my life. I pray that He fills me with the Holy Spirit and I begin walking in the Spirit every day. I pray that God would grow and change me and that He would use me to lead others closer to Him as well.
I am so excited to be going on this journey and I have already learned so much! Please pray for me to have enough time in the day to get everything done and that I would use the time I have the way God is asking me to. Please also pray for God’s provision and for a peace in my heart even when things seem impossible.
