Hi Family and Friends,
It’s been awhile since I’ve written any updates about where life has brought me. This current season has been a pretty uneventful one other than a move to Northern Virginia where I currently live with my cousin Katrina and work as a nanny to an amazing 2-year-old boy named David. Since moving I’ve been able to connect with an amazing church and meet a wonderful community of people. The reason I’m writing this letter is to let you know a little bit about the journey that I will be going on next year.
As you may or may not know doing third world missions work is the one thing that I am truly passionate about. Since I was a little girl I’ve dreamt of the day I would be able to go to different nations to share the love of Jesus to those who have not heard. A couple years ago I was able to get a glimpse of what missions looks like when I joined the organization Youth With A Mission after high school. In April/May of 2012 I had the opportunity to go to Mozambique and South Africa and again to South Africa in December/January of 2012. There my heart for missions grew and I knew this was what I needed to spend the rest of my life doing.
July 2015 I have the chance to experience missions on a larger scale, I will be joining up with an organization called Adventures in Missions to go on a trip called The World Race. This is an 11-month missions trip where we’ll be spending each month in a different country. While on this trip my team and I will partner with local churches and ministiries to plant churches, serve in orphanages, minister to women and chldren trapped in human trafficking and just bring the love of God to nations around the world. The countries we will be going to are South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
This trip is an amazing opportunity that has been opened for me and I cannot wait to experience it. The total amount that I have to raise is $16,266.10. So here’s where you come in, I need people who are willing to partner with me.
