Hello all! I wanted to share with you something that you do pretty regularly on the race, and my experience of some really fun moments this month! π
So, a Team Time is when the entire team, (typically there is six of us including myself), this month there is 13 of us (we are with another team from my squad, plus our squad leader, Rebekah)! π when we get together and do business things- what we have coming up in ministry next and when/ where people need to be, then we do check ins- how God is moving in our lives, and then we do feedback (what we see in someone else that we believe God wants to shine light on and help them to become a better person). {Note: this is just the typical format/formula that my team follows}. Every once in a while we throw in a fun game, or an fun outing that we do, or even some prayer over one another (which I deem to be incredibly exciting). π
I want to talk to you about two specific team times from this month that I loved!
One: we got the two teams together and basically had a cafe night. We dimmed the lights, made coffee and tea, put out cookies, and turned the mic on. π People shared anything from famous quotes, personal poems, blogs, vlogs, and journal entries. It was a time that we could be both silly and serious. Just two normal teams coming together in unity and just hanging out having fun with one another- it was AWESOME!! π
Two- last night– we did a “listening party”. We (most of the 13 of us) submitted 3-5 different songs to one person and then we played the song for a minute and try to guess who submitted it. It was hard to choose based off of what everyone’s music style was, but it was so much fun! The commentary, the different music selections, the shocked expressions on people’s faces when they thought they knew their best friends playlist. Haha it was really fun/ funny. These are the times that I have enjoyed most on the race. When we make “special” events/ nights out of the ordinary and just chose to buy in and spend time with one another and laugh for days.
Afterwards we did what team salty and bright calls a cuddle puddle… people lay on the floor and just place their head on someone else’s body.. if you don’t like physical touch, this would not be your scene, but most our “salty pursuit” team enjoys it, so we all just cuddled together for a “hot minute”. Haha it was really fun just to get into one another’s spaces and enjoy the company while it’s here! π
