I Want More… This is a common phrase on the race- I want more… what does that actually mean though? In Asia is was a thing of I want more food, in Africa for me it was, I want more time… in life most people are constantly in search of the “more” aspect- usually that entails money though.. I’m in a season of identifying what I want and for me, my “more” is more of God. More of the Holy Spirit. More of seeing Kingdom everywhere I go. More of hearing God speak to me. What does that really look like though?? The more for me doesn’t mean that I have to cross oceans to see or hear from the Lord. More for me is being intentional with God and seeing him in the most mundane things. I will always be in search for the more, but sometimes, God literally puts the more at your feet, but are you willing to look around or hear with your ears and not your eyes?? Sometimes the more can be a local in your community that nobody talks to. Or it’s the little kid who annoyingly keeps asking to be played with, or the more can be in a gas station associate who looks like they’re having a rough day! In America, are we willing to hear and see what God has for us, despite our busy days?? Are we willing to take that extra second to say thank you (and mean it), with a genuine smile on our face? Are we willing to help someone that needs it, but is too prideful to ask for it? Are we willing to step outside of our comfort zones to do the most mundane thing in order to make someone else’s day better? Guys, I want the mundane things of life to be the most God inspiring moments of my life. I want to go back to America and see needs around me in the smallest of ways, and be willing to stop my agenda to help someone else have a smoother day (there are boundaries with that of course), but ministry days are not just on days that you feel like it- it’s a full time position and it happens on the days that end in y… I just thought I’d share the things in my brain that are most heavy on my heart lately. How do you define your why in life, or your more??
