What a whirlwind training camp was for The World Race. Goodness, I learned so much about myself in 10 days. How was it you ask?
Overwhelming, joy-filled, exhausting of all sorts, celebrations, stirred heart, loved, heard, & peaceful
I’d love to share more details, but I don’t have the time nor energy.
But if you want to know more, contact me & lets get together!
In case you wanted to know:
1. Used a porta-potty for 10 days with no sinks. No more details necessary about that.
2. Tried every food. Most times I felt I was being starved & searched for other tables who didn’t finish their food. I lost 6lbs the 10 days I was there. I do believe He fed me not just spiritually, but physically too waiting for the next meal.
3. Bucket showers literally took my breath away, but I could see Georgia dirt literally wash right off me.
4. I slept in my tent 8 nights and 1 in my hammock. It was often, hot, humid, & muggy. Thankful for earplugs & eye masks.
5. Hand sanitizer may kill germs, but it doesn’t take dirt off. Only 3+ baby wipe will do that job.
But more importantly,
1. God brought forgiveness and some of my shame to light. And through that, I am radiating with more joy and freedom than ever before.
**Also I experienced spiritual warfare though loss of vision. This will be a huge prayer request as I leave for the mission field**
2. Be honest, be courageous, be bold, be vulnerable, be the child God made you!
3. Prayer is powerful! Never cease in prayer.
4. Free people free people & disciples make disciples.
5. My team, squad, and leaders are incredible brothers & sisters in Christ. They love me, fight for me, pray for me, and inspire me to be a better warrior for Christ!
Meet Team Shalom: More then just simply peace; it is a complete peace. It is a feeling of contentment, completeness, wholeness, well being and harmony.
Me, Amy, Lyndsey, Colleen, Brooke, Caitlin, Kailaa
Prayer Requests:
-It was stated many times that from now until Launch (August 5th), there will be many hardships because Satan knows what we got ourselves into & wants to talk. He knows we are dedicating a year of our life to serve The Kingdom. We are to bring freedom, joy, and make more disciples of Christ. He is aware of the hearts that will change.
-Health! Many of my teammates (& squadmates) are becoming sick. Some have announced they have bronchitis, ear infections, laryngitis, colds, etc.
