Many people I meet have never heard of the World Race. So I wanted to take some time to explain what it is and why I want to go.
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. As world racers, we answer the call to live a life of abandonment, leaving behind the comforts of home to spend almost a year in an intensive discipleship program designed to equip my generation to respond to our unique Kingdom call.
Each month will be a little different as we partner up with local churches and ministries to fulfill the needs in each location. There is also a focus on real and authentic community within the team as we work and grow together.
I will be leaving in July 2015. The route I have chosen will visit four different continents, where I will have unique opportunities to love “the least of these” and to learn more about God’s heart for the world and for me. It will be a great time of personal growth and God will stretch me in many ways over the course of the race. I know that God will break my heart for His people and that He will be constantly transforming me to be more like Him.
