I wanted to take some time now that the Africa portion of my trip is over and introduce you to the three incredible ministries that I got to be a part of during my time there.
JESUS FOR AFRICA
Meet Jaco and Maria Rudolph! (or as I like to call them “my Mozambican parents”)
Jaco and Maria are a couple from South Africa who boldy answered God’s call to go. They are in the northern part of Mozambique working with people groups that are almost completely unreached. Their ministry consists of church planting in the villages around Gorongosa, training leaders, children’s ministry, door to door evangelism and prayer, as well as many other things. They have had times where they have fed those impoverished or affected by the political unrest that is prevalent in this region. They are also hoping to start a ministry where they combine farming and discipleship to teach the people of Mozambique how to walk with Jesus while teaching a valuable life skill that they can then go and teach to others, in hopes that the people will be self sustaining and well fed. Jaco’s sense of humor and passion are contagious and Maria has one of the most selfless servant hearts I have ever seen. It was truly an honor serving with them and being a part of their family. I can’t think of anyone else I would have wanted to start my race with.
How can you pray for Jesus For Africa?
Please keep them and their ministry in your prayers. The country of Mozambique is plagued with political unrest that is leading to violence and has endangered their congregations’ livelihood and in some cases their lives. Jaco and Maria have been asked to stay in South Africa for a while and not return home, as it is unsafe. Please pray that God will bring peace to this country and that they would be able to return to doing His work there soon
