My sister asked me the other day on skype if I was getting used to life on the race. Is it normal for me to say that I have been living in Romania for a month? It’s funny because I have adjusted pretty well to this life. Packing and unpacking my pack each month has become routine, living in the same room with 5 other girls is standard, and hearing shouts of “hello” because everyone knows I am a foreigner is usual. But I do have my moments where I can’t believe this is my life. Like taking a two day trip to go tour Dracula’s castle. Or sledding with Romanian children on plastic bags. Or inviting random people on the street to a concert at the church speaking Romanian.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” I never imagined that there would be a time in my life for so much traveling and adventures. I know this season will come to an end, but I am thankful for the opportunities I have been given.

But of course I do miss America. My teammate Tiffany inspired me to write a top 10 list of things/activities I miss from home. I love making lists so here it goes. (As a disclaimer, I excluded friends and family because you all already know I miss you.)

1. Puppy chow
2. My cardigans
3. My bed
4. Red box movies
5. Free refills of pop
6. Dairy queen blizzards
7. Comfy couches
8. Driving
9. Mexican food
10. WiFi

but they will all be waiting for me when I return home 🙂
