Now is the time!

If you have:

1) Heard about what I will be doing during my time abroad

2) Prayed about it

3) Feel that God has put it on your heart to contribute financially to my mission trip

Then this is the post for you!

Fundraising is the first challenge that I have to overcome during my preparations for the World Race and I really need your help and support!

By the second week in May I have to meet my first goal of $5,000!!!

When all is said and done I need to raise $16,561

Now I understand how you might be a little bit sticker shocked at the moment. You are definitely not alone! So here are some charts that might help you sort out the reason behind this grand total…

Training Camp: I will be travelling to Gainesville, GA on June 8-18th to attend training for the World Race.

Field Support: This money goes towards supplies while I am abroad, local contacts, etc.

World Race Development: Part of the cost goes toward improving and developing the World Race for future participants.

Administration Fees: This money goes towards the team of men and women who make the World Race possible: The Adventures in Missions staff.

World Racer: This money will cover all of my needs while I am on the field and you can see exactly what I am talking about below:

Now that you hopefully have a better understanding of how your donations will be used I would like to present you with a list of different ways that you can get involved in the first few fundraisers that I have planned!

1. Adopt a Day!

The cost of each day on the race will be a little over $50/day. So, you can adopt any day during my WR mission trip for just $50 and I’ll share with you exactly how the day was spent and how your donation made a difference. This helps me keep in touch with you personally while I’m overseas! I really want my planner to be filled with names of family, friends, strangers (anyone & everyone) as motivation to be a witness that day! I feel like knowing that someone specifically financed that day for me will be such an incredible reminder of the support system I have here in the states! When you donate directly into my account with the “support me” button let me know which day or days you choose and I’ll mark it down in my planner! If you just have a specific country in mind you can let me know and I’ll tell you the dates that I will be in that country!

2. Purchase a TSHIRT!

Thanks to an amazing organization that I have been working with called Fund the Nations I have these amazing shirts to offer to all of you for just $20! As you might notice the design includes a heart placed over all of the countries that I will be travelling to and there is a url to my blog on the back of each shirt so you can all be my walking advertisements!

If your shirt will need to be delivered to you outside of the state of Maryland I ask that you choose the tshirt + shipping option so that I can have those sent your way when they arrive!

3. Fill a Change Jar!

You can help me fill this monster of a change jar by filling a mason jar of your own with spare change! Trust me when I say that every penny counts!

4. Simply Donate!

Please feel free to just donate into my account electronically with the “support me!” button. You can make a one time donation or you can opt to make a recurring donation on a monthly or quarterly basis.

You can also donate by Check/Money Order and these must be made payable to Adventures in Missions with my name (Maria Kolar) in the memo line. Please mail only one check per envelope, as checks are processed mechanically.

Mail to: Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570
