It’s 2017! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Last month (Honduras) was great! If you haven’t yet, go back and read my last post to see what we were up to. I’m seriously going to miss the country and all of the wonderful people I met and became friends with – especially the children at the ministry site. One of the hardest parts of the race is having to say goodbye every month. But God is calling us forward – and with this new year comes a lot of changes that I can’t wait to tell you about 🙂

New Country

We have made it to our next country safe and sound! This month we are in Guatemala! We started the month off with a Leadership Development Weekend and will be finishing the month with Debrief – both in Antigua. And, my team will actually get to stay in Antigua in between as well!

New Ministry

As I just mentioned, my team will be staying in Antigua all month! That is because this is where the ministry we will be serving at is located. We are serving with a ministry called Nueva Generacion. This ministry’s goal is to win, train, and send youth to the nations with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We have just arrived, so we aren’t completely sure what the month will hold – but from what we can tell we may be helping in the schools, helping fundraise, possibly some construction, etc. My team and I are really excited to see how God moves this month!

New Team

Yes, that’s right! I have a new team. This is bittersweet. I’m going to miss my last team like crazy – we spent 3 months living and serving together. However, I was on a co-ed team and this month the men are getting together and forming a team to do “Manistry” so all the girls from the 3 co-ed teams were mixed together to form 2 all girls teams. I’m really excited for this new team and would love for you guys to see who I’ll be serving alongside this month!

If you have watched any of my vlogs on YouTube (if you haven’t yet, you should definitely go check those out here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzQzbWXukGRHFI1bkss0cCw), you’ll know Chelsea from my last team. She is still with me this month! Here is a link to her blog:http://chelseagehring.theworldrace.org/

And these are my new teammates 🙂

So, as you can tell, there is a whole lot of new with the beginning of this new year! But I am so excited to see how God is going to work in and through us this year! Time has flown on the race so far – we’re already on month 4 and God has done so much! I can’t even imagine how much more He is going to do!
