Love.
Love is the thing that we all want most. We all want to be loved and we all want to love. It’s really just about love. It sounds so simple. But let’s define what love really is…

I’m sure most of you have probably read 1 Corinthians 13 or have heard it read at one or two weddings.

But for fun I’m just going to list off what is says love is and is not.

Love is Patient. Love is Kind. Love rejoices with the truth. Love never gives up; bears all things, believes all things, endures all things.

Love is not jealous. Love is not conceited. Love is not proud. Love is not arrogant. Love is not selfish. Love is not irritable. Love does not keep a record of wrongs. Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness.

That’s Love. The one that got me was Love does not keep a record of wrongs. No record at all. And it NEVER gives up, it endures ALL things, bears ALL things, believes ALL things. That made me think. Do I even love the people in my life that way? And not only that but Jesus said love your neighbor and love your enemies!! Jesus said if you only love those who love you and if you only greet those who greet you, what more are you doing than the tax collectors? I have to love everyone. I have to love those who have hurt me and I have to love those who hate me. And Jesus also says love your neighbor as yourself. Even now as I’m writing this, all I keep thinking is that it’s impossible to love people this way. How can I ever love people like this?? It’s impossible. That’s just it though; it is impossible WITH MEN, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

We are around so many people every day and so many children and so many people who just want to be loved. And I’ve tried to love them with all that I am but I can’t. I don’t have love to share with these people-at least not my own. BUT in 1 John it says GOD IS LOVE. SO I have to abide in him and is his love or I can’t do it. I can’t love hundreds of orphans and I can’t love the hundreds of people I meet in each village and I can’t even love my teammates WITHOUT GOD.

JUST READ JOHN 15. It says we can do nothing is we don’t abide in Him. His love for me and for you is what drives me.

I love you all so much, and God loves you even more. He Loves you with an everlasting Love. His Love is perfect and His Love is all we need.
