Hello, my name is Margaret Poch, I’m 21 years old and from Rocky Mount, NC. I will be turning 22 somewhere in either Honduras or Guatemala on my missions trip. I moved to Chicago a year and a half ago to finish up school; I just graduated for Clinical Massage Therapy from the Soma Institute in August. I learned about Adventures in Missions when I was 18 but unfortunately at the time I was not able to join. However, everything fell into place for this trip this year so I decided to put my career on hold to get involved with this mission trip helping others.
About my mission calling: I want to share with you some very exciting things that are going on in my life. When I was a little girl I always felt called to minister to others in different countries. I always knew I was suppose to help and love on people who needed to know they are loved. Just last month I applied to do missions work and I got accepted. Ever since then everything has been falling into place! I couldn’t be happier, more nervous, but very excited to see what The Lord has in store for my life this upcoming year!
I will serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. The countries I will be visiting are Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Albania, Bulgaria, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! I am learning to trust The Lord with all aspects of my life.
