What God taught me at Training Camp-
1.) Don’t have expectations. Expect the unexpected, it goes with life. The more we expect things and those things do not go according to plan our views may change. Have faith and believe in God to know that whatever He has planned for us is the right thing for our lives. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
2.) Stepping out of our comfort zone. One will have to stand out and be different. We live in a society where we are use to our own routine that we forget to let go and let God. God wants us to choose the lifestyle where it is fully based on trust, promises and faith. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:7
3.) Sharing is caring. We are apart of a culture where we work super hard to become successful that we sometimes tend to forget to thank The Lord for giving us those opportunities that lead us to the success. We forget that there are thousands upon thousands of people out there in the world who have nothing because they never got a chance to be as successful as others. Through our acts of kindness and our acts of love, sharing our success with others may be that light those have been searching for. “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
4.) Be willing to let God change your life. We are so use to living life a certain way that change isn’t always easy. We know we want something better, something greater. Our hearts desires are to give love and be loved. One day we will come to a road where we have to make a decision to live For God or for ourselves. That choice is up to us and to seek out the truth. We have to dive deep and find out what God is all about. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
5.) Let God in. God loves us so much that he wants us to be happy, successful, and healthy. He hurts when we hurt, he cries when we cry. All He wants is us to be fulfilled. He wants us to let go of the past and let Him work on our hearts. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
These 5 points are things I learned the other week. Let go and let God. God wanted to break me down piece by piece, pain by pain to work on my heart. I never really understood just how much The Lord loves me until I let Him into my heart. I always knew God was real, and I always knew He loved me but did I ever really let Him into my heart to set me free from my past…
I can honestly say I let go and I let God. He is showing me His love more and more every single day and it’s because I allowed Him to do so. I allowed Him to do work on me intimately and to let go of my past. I want to live for God, and I want God to make my dreams come true but I want God to change my dreams into His dreams for life. “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4
